Diploma In Computer  Engineering is design to keep pace with globalization and has a vision to develop competent hands. Computer Engineering course has successfully been running in BIT since 2002.

The department is equipped with sophisticated facilities and the latest software. Our department’s mission is to educate our students with a balance in theory and practical, and to create technologies that benefit society. Teaching and mentoring students is a great passion for our faculty.

The students who have passed Diploma in Computer Engineering will be expert in hardware repair and maintenance, computer networking, graphics designing, Database Administration, Computer programming, desktop publishing etc.

The graduates in this stream will get job opportunities in various fields such as Nepal Government Offices, Telecommunication Offices, Government and private sector (radio and television), Airlines operations and private computer related workshop etc. It is probable for the graduates to get job in foreign employment and technical institutions as well.
