About Scholarships Policy
SCHOLARSHIP POLICY BIT provides a number of classified & special scholarships as per CTEVT policies. For these scholarships, students have to apply separately, followed by a CTEVT competitive exam.
BIT also offers internal scholarship schemes to meritorious students on the basis of semester exam results.
You will automatically be considered for a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship when you apply for admission. These scholarships recognize your academic achievements and are awarded based on your admission average.
- SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME IS AVAILABLE FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES ENROLLED IN THE FACULTIES OF COMPUTER AND ELECTRONICS.
- Special Scholarship scheme is available for male and female candidates enrolled in the faculty of Electrical & Electronics and Mechanical on the basis of recommendation and marks.

SAMA DEVI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
Founding Principal of BIT, Dr. Nand Kishor Singh, and his family have decided to start Sama Devi Scholarship in the memory of their beloved late mother. Under this scholarship scheme, three meritorious students facing financial hardship will be selected each year who will receive NPR 2000/month as a living stipend. Validity of scholarship will be 1 year, renewable for 2 additional years subject to a minimum of 90% class attendance and satisfactory progress. BIT will also supplement a fee rebate to the scholarship holders.

You will be considered automatically for a Entrance Scholarship if you are:
- A current school (secondary) student who plans to come to after SEE/SLC, or
- A student who has already graduated from high school (secondary) but has little or no previous post-secondary education (less than 18 transferable credit units).
Entrance Scholarships are awarded based on your admission average.
If you apply for admission after your SEE/SLC, your average will be calculated twice – once at the time of admission, once we receive your final, official marksheet and crack entrance exam. Your scholarship amount will be based on your highest average.
